Who we are
Pine Creative Inc. (“Pine Creative”, “we”) is a company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Contact: take@pine-creative.com.
What Pine OS is
Pine OS is the internal operating system that Pine Creative uses to run its own business. It is not offered to the public. Only people authorised by Pine Creative can use it.
How Pine OS uses QuickBooks Online
When an authorised user connects QuickBooks Online, Intuit gives Pine OS an access token for Pine Creative’s own QuickBooks company. Pine OS uses that token to read and write Pine Creative’s own accounting records: customers, invoices, payments and accounts. It does not access any other company’s QuickBooks data.
What we keep
We keep the access token on our server. It is never shown in the interface or written to logs. We also keep copies of the invoice and payment records we need to run the business.
How we use it
Only to operate Pine Creative. We do not sell the data, share it for advertising, or use it for any purpose unrelated to running Pine Creative. We share it only with service providers that host or operate Pine OS for us, such as Amazon Web Services, and where the law requires it.
Disconnecting
An authorised user can disconnect QuickBooks at any time, in Pine OS or in QuickBooks. When it is disconnected, the token is revoked and we delete it.
Retention
We keep accounting records for as long as the law requires, which in Canada is generally six years.
